What is the Flying Time from the UK to Orlando?
The flying time varies a little between airlines and their routes but on average it takes anywhere from 8 to 9 hrs. The return leg is always quicker due to the high speed tail winds of the Jet Stream. I have returned to the UK in 6 hrs 50 mins before.

Do I need a Visa to travel to the USA?
This is a Quote from their web site.
 “
The Visa Waiver Program enables citizens of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. The program was established in 1986 with the objective of promoting better relations between the United States and its allies, eliminating unnecessary barriers to travel, stimulating the tourism industry, and permitting the Department of State to focus consular resources in other areas. Visa Waiver eligible travelers may continue to apply for a United States visa if they prefer, but it is not required for stays up to 90 days. The Visa Waiver Program require all travelers to have a machine-readable passport in addition to other requirements described in the Visa Waiver Information. Countries that participate in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) are:

Andorra Iceland Norway Australia Ireland Portugal Austria Italy San Marino Belgium Japan Singapore Brunei Liechtenstein Slovenia Denmark Luxembourg Spain Finland Monaco Sweden France the Netherlands Switzerland Germany New Zealand United Kingdom.

Can I take my golf clubs with me on vacation?
The answer is yes, at present, traveling with Virgin for example, each adult is allowed Two pieces of luggage each not exceeding 23kg. If you take your clubs you can substitute one piece of luggage for your clubs. If you are unable to do that then you would have to pay an excess baggage fee. Information of these fees can be found on your airline web site.

I am hiring a car what do I need to take with me to the USA?
You need to take with you your UK full driving Licence not just the plastic part, you need the paper part too. It is also a good idea to take a credit card with you as they almost always ask for a Credit Card swipe, some ask for $100 cash if not. Also everyone that will be driving the vehicle needs to join the line and sign the paperwork.

What’s the best way to take spending money to the USA?
You can take Traveler’s checks if you wish. These are taken almost everywhere and treated as cash. You get your change in cash. It is a better idea to take these instead of taking loads of cash with you. If you lose them they can be replaced. We always take mostly TC’s and a small amount of cash so that when we arrive we have some for the tolls, tips etc. Some people use Credit and Debit cards the Nationwide is one of the few that don’t charge extra for using your card abroad and apparently the rate is pretty good. There is also the American Express travelers check card. You charge this up before you leave for your trip. There have been negative reports about this though as a lot of places don’t take Amex!! Plus the rate is not that good.
